Krino commits one percent of the firm's annual revenue to the Krino Talent Initiative, which supports the immigration of exceptional foreign-born talent into the United States — with a focus on individuals in science, engineering, mathematics, and business who would qualify under extraordinary-ability pathways such as the O-1 and EB-1 categories.

WHY THIS, AND WHY NOW

The team behind Krino is a team of immigrants. We have lived the experience of trying to build something in the United States while navigating a system that can make the country's openness feel theoretical rather than real.

And yet the empirical case for that openness is overwhelming. In 2025, 46.2 percent of Fortune 500 companies were founded by immigrants or their children — 231 of the 500 largest companies in the United States. Those companies generated $8.6 trillion in revenue in fiscal year 2024 and employ more than 15.4 million people worldwide. If they were a country, they would rank as the third-largest economy on earth.

This is not an accident, and it is not a coincidence. It is what the United States is for.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The reason the United States works — the reason it has attracted the world's most ambitious people for two centuries — is not that everyone here starts from the same place. They obviously do not. The reason it works is that everyone here, regardless of where they started, has a real and roughly equal chance to win. The starting points are unequal. The opportunity is not.

That is the version of the American Dream we believe in. Not a guarantee of outcomes — a guarantee of a fair chance to compete for them. The country we want to live in is the country that lets the best person, from anywhere, build something here.

The hard part is that the system used to admit that talent has not kept pace with the demand for it. Scientists, engineers, and founders who would be obvious assets spend years in administrative limbo, or never make it through the door at all. Each one represents a company not founded, a discovery not made, a job not created. The cost of that friction is invisible and enormous.

WHAT THE INITIATIVE FUNDS

HOW IT IS FUNDED AND GOVERNED

One percent of the firm's annual revenue is contributed to the Initiative each year, regardless of any single fund's performance. It is a structural commitment, not a discretionary year-end gesture.

In addition, the founders intend to contribute a share of their personal carry distributions to the Initiative annually, over and above the structural commitment, scaling the Initiative's funding as the firm grows.

The Initiative's annual deployment is reported to investors alongside audited financials, and beneficiaries and grant categories are disclosed publicly each year. Krino takes no fees, salaries, or expense reimbursement from the Initiative. Every dollar contributed is deployed.
